Assisting Training
For teachers and non-teachers!
Are you a teacher who hesitates to offer adjustments to students? Are you a student who wants to know more about how each pose works and how to feel it in your own body?
In this training, you will learn how to read body alignment and energy, give hands-on adjustments and guide students to a deeper connection with their yoga practice. Along the way, you’ll learn a lot more about your own body and practice.
Led by Sloane Pitman, this weekend will take you through the key poses of the Tadasana sequence, showing you the target alignment and how to get yourself and others working toward that target. We’ll also cover basic anatomy and teach you how to approach and engage a student with an assist in a way that is safe and comfortable for you and the practitioner.
This weekend is for current teachers of yoga who want to refresh or deepen their assisting skills. It’s also for non-teachers who want to understand yoga pose alignment and how to find it in their own bodies.
Cost: $199, includes yoga classes that are part of the training
