Are you a teacher who hesitates to offer adjustments to students? Are you a student who wants to know more about how each pose works and how to feel it in your own body?
In this training, you will learn how to read body alignment and energy, give hands-on adjustments and guide students to a deeper connection with their yoga practice. Along the way, you’ll learn a lot more about your own body and practice.
Led by Sloane Pitman, this weekend will take you through the key poses of the Tadasana sequence, showing you the target alignment and how to get yourself and others working toward that target. We’ll also cover basic anatomy and teach you how to approach and engage a student with an assist in a way that is safe and comfortable for you and the practitioner.
This weekend is for current teachers of yoga who want to refresh or deepen their assisting skills. It’s also for non-teachers who want to understand yoga pose alignment and how to find it in their own bodies.
Cost: $199, includes yoga classes that are part of the training

Open to all, this juicy 60 minute slow-flow followed by a 30-minute Yoga Nidra by candlelight will leave you feeling relaxed and renewed. No prior experience necessary.
Are you looking for real change?
Research shows that it takes about 40 days (or 6 weeks) to make or break a habit. And it takes more than just willpower. This unique program combines physical (yoga), mental (learning) and emotional (meditation) efforts to create permanent change in your life.
Following the 40 Days to Personal Revolution book by Baron Baptiste, each week involves reading, journaling, 6 days of yoga and daily meditation. Every Monday, Tadasana teacher Jill Packham leads a 1-hour group discussion on the week’s reading.
Tadasana Yoga Studio is excited to welcome internationally celebrated yoga teacher and author Kathryn Budig for a transformative vinyasa flow on April 7.
Drawing on the themes of mental wellness from Kate Fagan’s book, “What Made Maddy Run”, this two-hour workshop and flow will weave in mantra meditation, breath work, challenging postures, partner work and laughter to evoke not only a good sweat, but a way to clear our distractions and get back to our core values.
Kathryn Budig is an internationally celebrated yoga teacher and author known for her accessibility, humor, and ability to empower her students through her message, “aim true.” Budig served as the yoga editor to Women’s Health magazine for five years, contributed recipes and sat on the Yahoo Health Advisory Board, and regularly contributes to Yoga Journal, The New Potato, and MindBodyGreen.
This class is offered in conjunction with a special event sponsored by CONNECT Summit County, a community advocacy organization dedicated to mental health and wellness.
