Posted on: December 11, 2020
Connections are life.
Human connections make us happy and healthy. Connections between ideas spark creativity and growth. Neurons in our brains connect to form skills and habits.
Tadasana.Yoga’s Teacher Training program is where you will create new connections in your relationships, in your brain, and in yourself.
Our 200-hour program is led by an amazing group of highly-experienced trainers. Together we’ll uncover so much more than how to do and teach poses. This Yoga Alliance-certified training will challenge you physically and challenge the stories in your head. Through classwork, reading, practice, self-inquiry, and team engagement, you’ll reveal the self-confidence and leadership that has always been within you.
The full fee for the program is $2700. Early Bird Discount: register before February 1 to save $200. Save an additional $100 if you pay in full up front (there are only 5 pay-in-full discount spots available). Bonus for YTT registrants: receive 50% off a Tadasana.Yoga pass to use until the start of the program. During the program, your practice is free!

Teacher Training FAQ’s
What is Tadasana.Yoga Teacher Training?
(From Melissa Garland, Studio Owner) Nearly 7 years ago I purchased Tadasana.Yoga in Park City. I had practiced yoga for over a dozen years and as an experienced marketer I embraced the stewardship of the business, but I was not a yoga teacher. In order to truly walk my own talk, I took teacher training with Baron Baptiste. At his training, I saw immediately that YTT is about so much more than teaching. When I began to create a teacher training program here at Tadasana.Yoga, I sought the most experienced trainers, including some who had worked extensively with Baron, to help craft our training program. You might be surprised to learn that the first step in creating a teacher training program is not to draft a syllabus, but instead, to examine what we stood for as a studio. Very quickly, our mission took shape: “to create happy communities, one student at a time.” It’s from this mission that our teacher training grows.
What does it cost and what do I get?
Full price for the YTT program is $2700. Register by February 1 and save $200. Save an additional $100 if paid in full (limit 5 pay in full discounts spots). From the day you register you will receive 50% off your pass at Tadasana.Yoga to allow you to get into your practice right away. When YTT starts, you will receive free yoga for the duration of the program. Not included in training fees are costs for any required reading materials used in the training.
Who should do yoga teacher training?
The only people who should do yoga teacher training are those who want to see significant growth and change in their lives. Many people take training thinking they might like to teach some day. Many have no intention of teaching. Students join us to explore new ways to think and see the world, and ultimately open doors to new possibilities. If you would like to join the Tadasana.Yoga teaching staff, this is one of the best ways to do it. If you aren’t interested in teaching, just come to change your life.
Why should I train with Tadasana.Yoga?
Yoga has become such a mainstream practice that yoga teacher training programs are found at nearly every studio. The Yoga Alliance is a national organization that provides a certification structure to ensure consistency and quality across yoga training programs. Tadasana.Yoga and most other training programs are certified by this organization. At the end of the day, you want a program with extremely strong leaders and a clear vision for your success as a student. Tadasana.Yoga’s trainers are highly experienced in the teaching of teachers. We know the training methodologies that will help you progress rapidly in our time together. We also have the skill to adjust the trainings to the nature of each student and student group. Our goal is to ensure you see rapid and effective progress in the creation of a new you.
What’s involved in a training?
We meet for 6 weekends plus 5 online zoom meetings. Each time we meet, you will be engaged in one of these modalities: practice, inquiry, pose laboratory, meditation, anatomy, and practice teaching. And woven in and among those modalities are hours of gems – connections with your fellow students, a deeper connection to your physical practice, a new appreciation for your body, the challenges of teaching, and so much more. You will have reading materials to help you go deeper and we even occasionally take our classroom out into the woods.
Do I have to be an experienced yogi to take training?
Absolutely not. Many of our teacher training participants are very new to yoga. We ask that you begin taking classes with us as soon as you register in order to begin to get the practice into your body and mind. By the time your training starts, you will be will on your way to transformation.
